Lessons Learned

  • Evaluations need to be conducted to determine:
    • Whether the collaboration is operating in a way that serves the organizations and clients best,
    • If the collaboration is meeting its goals;
  • Formative as well as summative evaluations should be planned when the collaboration is being developed;
  • Evaluations are essential to conduct in all collaborations;
  • Both formal and informal evaluations can be helpful;
  • It is critical to share evaluation results with all partners at all levels on an ongoing basis.
