“Certainly expired or wasted vaccine is one of the indicators we’ve been tracking; a reduction from thirty two thousand dollars in vaccine wastage two years ago to seven thousand now. We know the province has a very firm target for maximum wastage so it’s in our best interest to manage vaccines more tightly. We also track the number of immunization records reported to us and they’re too numerous to count so it’s often created a workload issue which is a positive sign. And the other thing that we’re using as a rough indicator is the reduction in number of school student suspension orders issued due to missing immunization information. We’ve had roughly a two hundred percent reduction since we started the collaboration.”
