Transcribe IconA primary care dietician’s experience with problem solving.

« Sometimes it gets a bit frustrating when you think you’re going along in a collaboration and then one of the managers identifies a big roadblock that needs to be addressed related to our food security project. If you would have known about it sooner, it would have made a difference.

We needed to sit down and problem solve the issue. We needed to understand the public health issue in our neighbourhood better and how we, as a primary care and public health team, could address it. And then we needed to consider different approaches to address the issue – examine the pros and cons – in other words, problem solve at the local level. That could have overcome the roadblock.”
